Although more than 80 years have passed since his death, we pronounce the name of one of the greatest inventors of all the time nearly every day. A number of technology companies are named after him - the American electric car maker or the Czechoslovak TESLA, which produced iconic televisions and tape recorders. His name is also immortalized in the name of the magnetic induction unit. Tesla fascinates and inspires. The Komedie theatre‘s project is based on the key moments of Nikola Tesla's life and work - both serious and scientific, as well as his foggy, futuristic prognoses. During the performance is performed a futuristic ceremony on the stage, that is transformed by the set designer Olga Ziebinská into a curious laboratory. The actors also experience its effects on their own bodies. The performance works with a number of atypical musical instruments specially designed and made for this occasion. Serbian composer Lazar Novkov has created music that is influenced by Tesla's research of harmonic frequencies and also inspired by folklore motives from Lika - the landscape of Tesla's childhood. All the music is interpreted live by the actors during the performance.

The performance is played in Czech. English and Serbian subtitles are available. More information here.
